Oakland Basement Remodeling- Jim Gardner Construction, July 15th, 2011

It is July 2011 and we are in the midst of a basement renovation project in the Rockridge district of Oakland starting with the digout and structural work. We are currently about 75 per cent complete with the process of excavation and construction of the exterior foundation retaining walls, which will form the “shell” of the new basement. This basement started as a 3′ crawlspace, and will end up with an 8′-6″ finished ceiling, and around 900 square feet of new space. We have currently removed over 300 cubic yards of dirt (30 ten-wheel dump truck loads).
